TONY HAWK & MIKE MCKINLAY

This summer a gang of us went down to Carlsbad, CA (near San Diego) to do some work with skateboard legend Tony Hawk. It was a real blast. On our way home, my friend Mike McKinlay, a pro skater himself, was muttering about how he really wanted to find a cool and unique spot to skate and get some pictures. Casey Kwan had his brand new digital SLR and I had my Holga and Lomos ready. What started out as a wrong exit turned out to be a happy accident because we found some cool full-pipes in a field and the sun had just entered into that "magic hour."
