I'm actually considering chopping off my hand and shoving this onto the nub.

THE GRINCH SPOTTED
Here's The Grinch. He was spotted a few weeks ago by some friends and myself while having lunch on Commercial Drive. Yesterday, he passed us by again and this time I took a picture of him to prove that the Grinch is real. It's hard to see from this iPhone pic, but he has a little swoop-whip hairdo, bushy-whipped eyebrows and the exact stomach paunch (which needs to be seen from profile for best results). BEHOLD! THE GRINCH!!!

The same feller who made "Hobo With A Shotgun" brings us this short vid. I love the boat name...

SASQWATCH

Just look how ridiculous this watch is (in a good way)! Head over to Sasqwatch to get yours (or not). There's actually a near-fairly interesting blog posting about the origin of this watch and the 22-years it took the creator to get it made.

Not a big fan of either the White Stripes or Weird Al Yankovich but I do like Charles Nelson Riley and it's great to finally see him blow shit up with his eyes.

SHOTGUN SHARPSHOOTER
I'm not a big gun enthusiast but this guy certainly knows his way around a shotgun. I only wish I knew what kind of shotgun he's using!

MOON
Just saw Duncan Jones' debut flick Moon and I loved every minute of it. Sam Rockwell deserves an Oscar for this and Clint Mansell's soundtrack is perfect. It would have been so easy for Duncan Jones to call up his dad, David Bowie and say "Hey pop, you want to write the soundtrack?" and although I'm a pretty big Bowie fan, I'm glad he went with Clint Mansell. With such a minimal, "simple" and quiet film, the soundtrack sticks out and accompanies the cinematic mood perfectly.
It's a great psychological, mystery sci-fi that's an homage to 2001 but is clearly a different movie. In fact (and I know I'll take some flack for this), 2001 stinks, nay, STINKS compared to Moon.

SEWER MONSTER
According to a North Carolina Public Utilities Group, they're confirming that the disaster you're about to watch is real. They have no idea what it is, but it's real. I'll tell you what it is: real gross.
Here's an article from various groups claiming to know what it is and others refuting it.

JESUS AND TIME MACHINES WORK IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS
As you probably know, I'm a bit of a time traveler. I like to pop around here and there and check stuff out. In 2033, after years of not using my time machine, I finally decide to give the machine an old dust-off and give it one more kick around time. I will decide to head back to Labour Day 2004 and visit a small church gathering and do a "Johnny Darrell Explosion" for kicks. Before departure, I (will) psi-mail(ed) a friend to be at a certain church with a video camera, hoping that it will work out. It did. Check it out!
