Anyone? Help? I really don't get it. I remember seeing this in the paper when it came out and I asked Kamala if she understood it and she just said "Fuck it. Why are you bothering? He's a fucking retard." 'He' being Jeff & Bill Keane. I hate this comic so much (as does everyone except grannies) but this one really makes me mad.

I think it's supposed to be funny that the kid is saying "daddy set his drink on one of our coasters" because you'd expect him to be saying "daddy set his drink on the table"... or "daddy didn't use a coaster"....
Maybe the Mommy is a bit of a coaster-nazi. When the kids place their drinks directly on the table, she tells them to use a coaster. So when daddy puts his drink ON the coaster the kids want Mommy to be equally mad at him. But of course she has no reason to be mad because Daddy put his drink on the coaster.
I'm just guessing though.
